Well… this is someone’s personal opinion, so no judgement on that, you can believe whatever you want.
But Izzy left because he didn’t like what he saw on tour, the endless touring, the extravagant parties and people’s egos growing out of control. Personally, I think he was and is the only member that stayed true and humble, focusing on the music. He was the driving force behind the lyrics and music of Guns N’ Roses.
Also, mature music fans don’t judge an artist’s talent on how hot he is. We all grow old, we will all get wrinkles. Stop being fangirls and listen to the fucking music.

Happy 50th Birthday to Mr Izzy Stradlin.
Combining the groove of the Stones with the energy of the sunset strip, this guy has got song writing and rhythm guitar playing down to fine art and has been one of my favourite guitar players for a good couple of years now.
He knows his roots and he draws from them, creating fantastic songs in the process. In Izzy’s words;
“The blues are real important. It’s where most of the hard rock ‘n’ roll came from.”
Today, my favorite Guns N’ Roses member turns 50.
Contrary to popular belief, most songs and lyrics of Guns N’ Roses were written by Jeffrey Dean Isbell. He is a brilliant songwriter and musician, yet painfully uncredited for most of his work.
I personally believe that he is the sole member that got things right and didn’t get sucked into the glamour and ego of the music scene; he kept things real and only thought about the music. And that’s what it’s really about.
So today we celebrate the creative genius that is Izzy Stradlin, here’s to another 50 years of his musical influence.

Thank you! The last thing I had read about was that he was in a long-term relationship with a woman who had a kid from a previous marriage; I don’t know if he has married her now or if they have broken up, I’ll check it out!
